In 1992, Amanda Bossard began her research in marine biology at Anchorage in Alaska at the University of Alaska Pacific. Bossard started her journey in the commercial seafood industry in 1999. At the time, she worked as a fisherman on Murat Aritan's 65-foot halibut boat, which was later converted into a fish tender. Bossard and Aritan are now married and are working together in claiming their share of their business. They both believe in saving and profiting from natural resources that are used in the fishing industry. In 2007, the mother to two kids Bella aged 3 and Andre 1 Bossard before returning to her home in Philadelphia, opened a direct market wholesale distributor of seafood known as Otolith.
